February 11th, 2010The More You Practice…
April 16th, 2009When playing billiards the old saying is true practice makes perfect. When you start out playing billiards you take those shots that you just point and hit, while hoping for a miracle. I compare those shots to the "Hail Marry" play in football, throw and hope for the best. After playing more you start to realize that there is actually some geometry to bank shots. Once you realize that there is a way to set up a bank shot you practice and try different shots. When trying the different shots you keep changing the angle you use and the English until you get the combination of the two correct. Or you just do the math in your head and set up the shot on knowing the angle the ball will bounce off the bumper and where it will go from there.

The Cue Stick Matter!
April 15th, 2009When you walk into a bar to play billiards you grab the first stick available, right? When you are playing at your house or on a friends table there is that one cue stick you do better with. The stick you choose to use is based off of your playing technique. When you break you want a heavy breaking stick that still allows you control of the English put onto the cue ball. When you are playing after the break you want pool cues that meet your playing style exactly. If you are a player that uses English a lot to set up the next shot or to keep from scratching you want a stick that you can control the tip of the stick better. But if you’re the player that likes to hit the ball with enough power it stays out of the pocket you would do better with heavier pool cues. If you are serious about playing billiards you should invest in a cue stick that matches your playing technique. Without it you probably won’t reach your maximum playing potential. скачать порноролики бесплатно лесбиянки

Most Important Billiard Supply.
April 14th, 2009The most important thing a billiards player needs is a good table. Even if you are a beginner at billiards you should play on a good table. By good I mean a slate table. The best slate tables have one inch thick slate and will not warp. There are also 3/4 inch tables but they are more likely to warp than the one inch tables. Along with the thickness of the slate the number of pieces of slate is important as well. There are three piece slate tables and one piece slate tables. The one piece tables are more expensive but offer a more level playing area. The three piece slate tables have the chance of the slates not getting lined up correctly. Whether you are a professional billiards player or a first timer hoping to get to the pros the most important thing is to play on a good table. The better the table you get use to the easier it will be to get batter. Most Important Billiard Supply.

COLLEGIATE POOL CUES ARE THE PERFECT GIFT
September 19th, 2008When you are looking for a special gift for your college student, college graduate, or your teen who is preparing to attend a university, a collegiate pool cue is a unique gift that he or she will truly love. You and your student will agree that there is nothing quite like it.
A collegiate pool cue is special because its design reflects the student’s school spirit in its colors and logo. Any current, former, or prospective college student will love to own one– and to show it off. It is a gift that will certainly be kept for a lifetime.
Collegiate pool cues do not sacrifice quality for appearance. As many school products are noted for looking great but not lasting very long, your student will not have this problem with his pool cue. They are made of only the finest quality materials, and constructed to last a lifetime. His cue will withstand damage and breakage, giving him many years of playing enjoyment, as well as staying in excellent condition to be kept for its sentimental value in later years.
The fine worksmanship that goes into crafting each collegiate pool cue is very clear to the eye. There are plenty of poorly-made school products, designed to serve only as a short-term souvenir, with their lack of quality being quite apparent. This is not the case with collegiate pool cues– they are appealing to even the most distinctive tastes. Your student and all of his friends will immediately see that it is made of only the best materials, by those who have expert experience in making pool cues.
When you add all of these factors together, you can see a collegiate pool cue is the perfect gift. It is something which your student can use for many years in his game, and will remain a special keepsake for the rest of his life.
The Five Minute Guide To Getting Replacement Cue Balls
September 19th, 2008Oh, my…………the 10-Ball had a break. What do you do know? Well, eventually you will have to get a replacement cue ball in order to continue playing. This type of pool ball is what you need for your game. Here are some things to look for when looking for one:
• Look for a ball that is grade A quality. Those are the best kind to use for your game room.
• The regular size of the ball is 2 ¼” in diameter and weighs almost six ounces, which is the standard weight for this type of ball.
• When purchasing these, make sure that the replacements are the correct size. Some pool tables use balls of different sizes.
• Before purchasing, check out what materials are used to make the balls. A long time ago, ivory was used to make them. That practice is now non-existent. They are now made of acrylics and plastic material that will last. They are also made to prevent cracking and chipping.

• You might want to look into getting some training balls. This would be especially good if you use the pool table for leisure recreation in addition to games. A training cue would be a good idea. When working with angles, the training cue balls have circles that are designated with a middle point on them. This helps the players when they work with angle shots.
• This ball is a great replacement to use in bars and pool halls.
• Make sure you have accessories available. You need to have things such as extra chalk for your cues. You will also need triangles in order to set up the balls prior to starting a pool game. These items should be replaced when needed.
Remember that even though you have a pool table that can last a long time and provide you with an entertainment outlet, you must have replacement cue balls that you can use to play games. The balls are imperative to have at all times in the event that they get lost or there is a break while playing.

What About Pool Cue Cases?
April 16th, 2008If you are going to spend the money on your own personal pool cue, then you are really going to want and need cue cases. The cases are meant to protect your pool cue from damage and enable you to take your pool cue with you when you travel. The case will also prevent injury to other people.

It will protect your pool cue from dents and scrapes, which could occur when moving around with it, but it will not protect your pool cue from damage caused by moisture. It will only do a decent job of protecting against moisture and it doesn’t leave room for any other accessories. The inside of the case has very little padding, which allows the rattling around of your cue. This can damage your cue’s finish. The case is economical and you can use rags or cloths to fill the empty spaces.
One of the popular cases is the hard tube style case. This style of case has several variations. This hard shell tube protects against moisture and rattling. This case incorporates a foam interior and is described as a “Cue Safe”. This is one of the worst of the tube style cases. The reason being, there are many different styles of tapers, diameters and lengths of cues. The cases vary in the tightness of the foam making it almost impossible for a good fit with your cue. Some of the cases are fitted with felt others are not. The non-felt lined ones will end up having an abrasive foam, which will damage your cue every time you take it out and put it back in. If you have a joint protector, this will cause the cue to fit even tighter. To shut the case the lid will have to push harder on your cue, which is already in a very confined space. After a while these case will leave marks on your cue along with the dullness and the scratching the finish of your cue.
